Mean while, here are a few ideas and ites I have been toying with, after a recent trip to Whidbey Island to see my family's gorgeous new house on the Puget Sound, I discovered a bunch of great hunks of driftwood and smelled potential amidst the seaweed...This is what I ended up with:
My new fetish for wood includes little drawings on masonite craft panels, and using the muted brown as toned paper; the neutral shade and hard surface lends itself to a variety of techniques, and especially the likes of colored pencil....these small works are portable, great for trade shows, cheap to ship, and I have also made them into prints to fit every budget....

Here's a few hand decorated journals I have been playing with as well; I fell in love with the idea of decorated journals a ways back and my dear Mom has made me quite a few great ones, so I thought i would try to draw on a few, do a few lino-cut print ones, as well as image transfer decorated ones as well....in the end the image transfers can be expensive mistakes if they misfire, as well as the lino-cut ones, but when they do turn out right they are FABULOUS. :)
Well, time to go actually get some "work" done in the studio, I will post pics of the Brickhouse show art as soon as it is displayed...don't want to spoil the surprise..:) Meanwhile, I hope to convey warm, windy wishes to anyone who may view these humble pages, and may you have a creative September!
